My Baby is ONE !!!!!

I can't believe Ruby is one. She had her birthday on the 12th of this month. I have been a bit slack blogging lately as my laptop is at the repair shop and our home computer is downstairs and is not as easy for me to sit on for hours, not that I don that. LOL.
Ruby was very impressed by the party food, but not the cake. As she is allergic to eggs,nuts,milk and tomato's I went to great lengths to find a cake receipt. However she much rathered the watermelon.

We just had a small family party for her !! I have to get some of the cake pictures off Alex as I did not take any on my camera.

Isabella being little miss helpful !!!
This is Ruby the climber. This week we have had a few little falls, one where Ruby ended up in the bath head first. Thanks goodness it was empty. It is a bit of a challenge to empty the dishwasher before she realises what you are doing and ends up trying to help.

Some Craft !!!

Here is the awesome fabric that Mum and Cathy bought me for my birthday, it is for me to use for my NPNT quilt. I have set myself a goal of 5 stitcheries per week, last week I completed four so I thought I would go all out this week and try for 5.

This is one of my favorites, love the little lady birds they are so cute.

Catching Up !!!

Well we have had a bit on since my last proper post, so I will now attempt to catch you up. On the 30th March we had Ruby's dedication at our home. It was a lovely day and it went off with out a hitch. Mum was awesome in the kitchen and my saving grace, Cathy had helped me out by doing heaps off cooking for me during the week so we had some very yummy slices. Nathan did a great job of Ruby's Cake. Alex and George where good little waitressers on the day also.
Not wanting to forget it was also Nathan's birthday on the day, I think I will take him out for a nice romatic dinner once things have settled down a little and the budget has caught up.
I have had a really nice couple of days off with the girls, I made a decision last week to defer Uni for at least the next 12 months. I purely feel like I do not have time at the moment and the girls are my main focus, Issi is still very little and needs me on her home days. She is having a bit of trouble adjusting to school.
We have Ruby's first birthday this saturday, I can't believe how fast her first year has gone. She is such a joy to all of us, I love to see how excited she gets when Issi comes home. They really have a little bond already, Ruby loves playing wrestling on the floor they both laugh a lot and have a lovely time.

I have been tagged by my lovely sister: 7 weird and wacky things about me.

1. Like my sister I don't drink coffee, it makes me edgy.

2. I can't get to sleep unless I have a drink of water on my bedside table, even if I don't drink it.

3. I make my cup of tea hot but don't drink it until it is almost cold. Still has to be made hot, my husband finds this hard to get his head around.

4. I can't sleep unless my pj's top is tucked into my bottoms, very attractive look.

5. I always called my Grandmother Nanna, as everyone else called her Nanny and when I was younger I wanted my own name for her.

6. I am the baby by 8 years in my family, my brother and sister both left home when I was 10yrs old. And no I am not spoilt !!!!!! Oh and by the way unlike my sister I got my licence first time !!! With 3 lessons.

7. I was so sure that Ruby was a boy I did not believe them up until the day she was born. Am very happy to have two little girls now.
